What is a banked reset?
A banked reset is a one-time reset saved in your account. Visiting this site does not consume it.
It differs from automatic personal quota windows and global resets applied directly by OpenAI.
Where can I view and use them?
Check available resets in the Codex personal menu or usage summary. Options appear only for eligible accounts with resets available.
Claim methods, plans, expiry and promotion requirements can change. Follow what your account currently shows. This site cannot claim or run resets for you.
Which quotas change when I use one?
Official guidance says a full banked reset refreshes both 5-hour and weekly windows and changes the next weekly reset date.
After using one, recheck account usage and update the personal reset time saved here. Adjust old calendar reminders too.
How are banked resets counted in history?
Feature launches and banked reset campaigns are recorded separately from automatic global resets.
The official June 11, 2026 release notes confirm the banked reset feature launch. This does not mean every user’s quota was automatically reset that day.
